Time to Reflect

One class Assignment we had this past week was to check out some of our fellow classmates blogs and see how others are documenting their experiences. I feel a little relieved after exploring a handful because it seems as if most others are off to a relatively slow start in regards to their projects. Fortunately, with this being said, there are also a handful of people doing well with blog posts and reaching out to the community for support. With this being said I'd like to share some of the things I found most interesting from my exploration of others blogs.

Lauren Herrick @ http://happyfeetwise.blogspot.com/
(Lauren is doing a WISE project on learning how to dance)

My first impression with her blog was "WOW. All her posts are very thorough." Although she only has 4 posts at the moment, they all are lengthy and are meaningful! They tell the reader something, and give them a taste of how busy her life is, but also how she has been reflecting on Dance in her everyday life, as well as reaching into past memories, and her first big influence on dance. It was a neat way to journal her thoughts! I know that Lauren just recently got exited from the class but my only suggestion would be that she really get started on finding a studio and that sign up for some classes pronto! Learning to Dance is going to be a long process and the more time she has to perfect her new learned abilities the better.

Maja Alikalfic @ http://greenteaforthree.blogspot.com/
(Maja's final product is going to be making a Japanese Tea Set)

Maja's blog has a little more in terms of research and progress made outside of class. I've known what Maja's project was for quite some while, but I never thought to ask why? or where the idea came from. It was really nice that she explained these questions in her first entry and set up a sound plan for her final destination. It is clear she has already done a lot in regards to her project and the research side. It has inspired me to look for a book to read about fashion or sewing in general. Thanks Maja and I can't wait to see your tea set!!
